Lorna Phillips Forde, MBA
Lorna Forde, a 25-year resident of Germantown, MD, was appointed to the Maryland Commission for Women in 2014. She has served on the Montgomery County Commission for Women since July 2012, and was elected First Vice President in 2014. Through her various affiliations, she has a long history of serving and advocating for women and children in the community. She is a Small Business Owner in Montgomery County and a Certified Contracts Manager with over 20 years of professional experience in Finance and Contract Management. She holds a Master’s in Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Pittsburgh and a Certification in Contracts Management from the Florida Institute of Technology. She has previously served on the Deputy Superintendent’s Minority Achievement Advisory Council, Co-Chair of Measurements, currently serves as Chair of Community Partnerships on The Menare Foundation Board and is a member of Leadership Montgomery, Women Business Owners of Montgomery County and the Montgomery County (MD) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (serving as President 2009-2013).
