Carole Jaar Sepe is a resident of Frederick County, Maryland and was appointed to the Commission in July 2015, and was elected secretary in June 2018. She is a small business owner and construction consultant with 30 years of experience in the construction industry where women are a minority.
She holds a Master’s in Architecture from Catholic University and was appointed to the Frederick County Planning Commission in 2015. She has also previously served as Vice Chair of the Frederick County Board of Zoning Appeals and was a member of the Frederick County Professional Women’s Network, a Board member of the Frederick County Student Homeless Initiative Partnership and Chair of the Building committee at Saint Joseph on Carrollton Manor Catholic Church. She is also a member of the Maryland League of Women Voters. For the past two years, she has co-chaired the Maryland Women of Tomorrow Committee, and served on the Voices of Maryland Women Listening Tour Committee and the Governance Committee.
