Child Support Administration
Enforcement
Provides enforcement of the child support orders and refers customers to the Non-Custodial Parent Employment Program (NPEP). The NPEP program was formed as a partnership between the Family Investment Division and Child Support Administration to help the non-custodial parent gain meaningful employment so that they not only could make their payments but could also be a role model for their children.

Making Child Support Payments

Note: Please include the non-custodial parent’s name, nine digit case number, or social security number on all remittances. Correspondence should still be sent directly to your local agency.
Electronic Payments
If you would prefer to remit your payment electronically, CSA offers SMART e-pay, https://md.smartchildsupport.com. There will be several electronic options available:
- ACH Credit – This works best for employers and offers free processing.
- ACH Debit – This can be used by both employers and non-custodial parents for one time or recurring bank drafts. There is no usage fee.
- Visa, Master Card and Discover payments will also be accepted. There will be a fee of 2.5% of the payment amount per transaction.
- You can also remit your payment by the Maryland SDU Pay-By-Phone system. Please call 1-844-324-3855. Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express payments are accepted. There will be a fee of 2.5% of the payment amount per transaction.
