Maryland Legal Services Program

About Us

©The Maryland Legal Services Program (MLSP), a program within the Community Services Administration, was created in 1971 for the purpose of ensuring quality and effective legal representation in the State’s Circuit Court to children and indigent adults, in which the local Department of Social Services or the Office of Aging is a party to the case.

MLSP is dedicated to providing quality, cost effective legal representation in court proceedings for "Children in Need of Assistance" (CINA) and "Termination of Parental Rights" (TPR) cases. MLSP also provides legal counsel for indigent adults in Adult Public Guardianship proceedings. The program contracts with legal business firms in the State of Maryland to implement civil legal services for entitled citizens. MLSP’s network of attorneys are eminently skilled and specialized.
